A hackathon is a multi-day event centered around an exciting 24 to 48 hour build challenge, where participants collaborate in teams to create projects from scratch based on a prompt provided. Participants then pitch their projects to judges who evaluate them on creativity, technical execution, impact, and alignment with their chosen track.

Everyone! LaserHacks is open to students of all majors, backgrounds, and skill levels. Whether you're coding your first project or your sixtieth, you'll find a community ready to support you. All students currently enrolled at Ģ����Ƶ are eligible to participate.

No! You can apply individually, and we will help connect you with other talented participants looking for teammates based on applications. Teams typically consist of 2 to 4 members, giving you the opportunity to meet new creators, combine different skills, and create an incredible project together.

No! LaserHacks is a fully free experience designed to give every participant the opportunity to learn, build, and connect. You will receive FREE meals, FREE swag, access to professional workshops and mentors, and opportunities to earn certificates and win exciting prizes.

Please bring your laptop, charger, and any additional technology you may need to build your project. If you do not have access to a device, please notify the LaserHacks team or indicate this in your application so we can help ensure you have the resources needed for a successful experience.
