UC Irvine Honors to Honors (H2H)
Honors Program participation is considered favorably in the comprehensive review process for admission to UC Irvine. Additionally, Honors Program students with at least a 3.7 GPA are invited to join the as space permits, which gives students access to an engaged learning community, faculty-mentored research opportunities, priority registration at UCI, and consideration for merit-based scholarships.
Dr. Martha McDonald Selected for the Aspen Institute’s Rising Presidents Fellowship
The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program (Aspen) announced today that Dr. Martha McDonald, Vice President for Student Services at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ (Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ), is one of 35 leaders selected for the 2023-24 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship. This program, delivered in collaboration with the Stanford Educational Leadership Initiative, prepares the next generation of community college presidents to transform institutions to achieve higher and more equitable levels of student success.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Speech Team Awarded 1st Place Sweepstakes Award in Limited Entry at CCCFA State Championships
From March 8th-13th Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Speech and Debate Team traveled to the CCCFA State Championship Tournament in Woodland Hills, CA. The grueling tournament was attended by hundreds of students from nineteen community colleges across California. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Speech concluded the week victorious by winning the 1st Place Sweepstakes Award in limited entry! Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Speech accepted their 1st Place award after receiving multiple medals in IPDA (individual) debate, NPDA (team) debate, extemporaneous speaking, and impromptu speaking.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Student Erwin Quiroz Named Winner of Real College California Logo Redesign Contest
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ student Erwin Quiroz has been named the winner of the Real College California Logo Redesign contest. The Community College League of California’s will work to incorporate the logo into its upcoming publications, taskforce webpage, Basic Needs Summit webpage, emails and more. Edwin will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The South Asian Student Association (SASA) is dedicated to fostering a supportive community and promoting cultural awareness, education, and interaction among students of South Asian descent and the wider Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ community. We believe in embracing cultural diversity and equity and strive to create a welcoming environment for all members , regardless of race. SASA aims to provide opportunities for students to learn about, experience, and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of South Asia through engaging in cultural festivals and traditions.
