Aspiring Educators Club

Purpose and Services

The Aspiring Educators Club is an official chapter of the California Teachers Association – Aspiring Educators (CTA-AE). The club connects students to pathways into the teaching profession through events, professional development, and collaborations with four-year institutions and current educators representing a wide range of education careers. Students have opportunities to participate in local and overnight conferences, campus visits, networking events, and career exploration activities.

Forensics/Speech and Debate

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Speech and Debate Team has a rich history at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ, winning its first national championship title in 1982. Since that time team members have gone on to graduate from many distinguished universities including UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cornell University, and even Harvard Law School! Many notable alumni have used their skills acquired during forensics to become reputable attorneys, judges, professors, and other prominent positions across career fields.

Geography Club

Purpose and Services

The Geography Club is committed to organizing services and activities that enhance interest in geography, world cultures, and human/environment relationship; to promoting friendship and fellowship among students of all educational and economical backgrounds; to improving leadership, social, practical skills which will help club members to become conscientious, contributing members of society.

Green Team

Purpose and Services

The Green Team is a collective and diverse community of students who are passionate about environmental advocacy on campus and globally. We provide students monthly opportunities to attend service events such as coastal clean ups, campus clean ups at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ, and recycling events. One of our initiatives this semester is a recycling program which consists of working with facilities and management by collecting bottles and cans from the campus and recycling them to make money to give back to the campus and improve sustainability.

Gender-Sexuality Alliance Club (GSA)

Purpose and Services

The purpose should be the following: The Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is a school-affiliated club made up of LGBTQIA+ students and their allies dedicated to the celebration and flourishing of queer people, identities, and culture across campus and Orange County. The GSA focuses on creating a safe space for community ties to strengthen through community bonding events, collaborative civic engagement, and celebrating LGBTQIA+ history and culture.
