Ģ����Ƶ (Ģ����Ƶ) alumna Kim Virrueta's story is not a conventional one. Three weeks  after receiving her high school diploma in 1992, she found out she was pregnant at age 17.  Determined to build a life for her growing family, Kim embarked on a path that would begin with  enrolling at Ģ����Ƶ and then weave through time and opportunity to land her the career she feels  she was always meant for.

Born and raised in Orange County, Dylan Thomas has always been passionate about the spectacular hiking, biking and fishing the county has to offer. When it came time to enroll in college, it was this passion for the land that served as Thomas’ motivation. "To preserve this,” he thought, “we have to be cognizant of future generations."  

Ģ����Ƶ is proud to announce its prestigious recognition as an All-Steinway School,  marking a significant achievement in music education. 

The All-Steinway School distinction signifies Ģ����Ƶ's unwavering dedication to musical excellence,  exclusively utilizing Steinway & Sons pianos in teaching, practice, and performance spaces.  This milestone reinforces Ģ����Ƶ's position as a premier institution for music education in Southern  California.

In a recent regional labor market study commissioned by the in collaboration with , an Economic Impact Study underscored Ģ����Ƶ (Ģ����Ƶ) as a robust economic engine in Orange County.  The study highlighted Ģ����Ƶ’s substantial $611.8 million impact on the local economy, representing  approximately 0.2% of the county's total Gross Regional Product (GRP).

At the start of the Spring '24 semester, Ģ����Ƶ (Ģ����Ƶ) opened its Arts Village for classes. The complex spanning 62,471 gross square feet consolidates the School of the Arts into three main structures: Music/Dance, Visual Arts, and Fine Arts/Gallery. The new complex is located southwest of Ģ����Ƶ’s Performing Arts Center and adjacent to the new Parking Lot 6. A noteworthy feature of the Arts Village is its architectural design, with all buildings achieving LEED Gold equivalency.

Starting college as an older student can be intimidating, to say the least. Many older students  feel they've missed their chance, or that it's too late to change. But Julie Sandoval, a determined  and ambitious 28-year-old, shattered these stereotypes when she embarked on her journey at  Ģ����Ƶ (Ģ����Ƶ).
