Supporting Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ's future through leadership

An alumna of The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ (BA 78), Walker is the current president and CEO of Canada’s History, a non-profit organization located on Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s campus known for publishing Canada’s History magazine (formerly The Beaver).

As the University’s former director of advancement, Walker was instrumental in the establishment of The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Foundation and later served as executive consultant to the Foundation during the "A World of Opportunity Capital Campaign."

She was honoured at the University’s 100th Convocation in 2013, for her immeasurable contributions to the success of the campaign, which was the largest in the University’s history, raising more than $135 million for campus revitalization and development, student supports, and academic enhancements.

Walker is an esteemed mentor and has held positions with local organizations such as Tourism Winnipeg and the Health Sciences Centre Foundation. She remains a dedicated patron of the University and an avid supporter of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Oral History Centre.
